GUN PURCHASE FAQs
Do you sell guns?
Yes. We have a selection of over 100 new and used firearms for sale.
I am a PA resident, what do I need to bring with me to purchase a gun from you?
You will need to bring your valid PA Government issued ID. PA does not require any special permit or training requirement in order to purchase a firearm.Â
I want to buy a gun but I have no idea how to go about it.
You’ve come to the right place! Our signature Try, Buy & Train program allows first time gun buyers like yourself to try multiple guns with live fire and chose the one that fits your needs. Once you complete your purchase, you’ll spend a half hour or so with one of our Certified Instructors who will teach you how to load, unload and clear your new firearm, as well as how to safely store it. Try, Buy & Train gives you the peace of mind knowing that you will buy the right firearm and have some basic knowledge of how to operate it safely. Of course, 30 minutes is not nearly enough time to become proficient in firearms use, so your Instructor will recommend entry level classes, if you’re interested.
I bought a gun online, can I have it shipped to your range?
Yes, if you are a PA resident, possess a valid PA Government issued ID, and can successfully complete a PA State Criminal background check, you can have your firearm shipped here. You will be required to pay us the normal FFL transfer fee. For more information, click the FFL Transfers tab on our website.
My friend wants to buy my gun, do you do private transfers?
Yes. Both you and your friend must appear in person in our store at the same time in order to complete the transfer. The seller must show valid government issued ID while the buyer must possess a valid PA Government issued ID, and successfully complete a PA State Criminal background check. Appointments are required. Please call the store or email us at admin@sunsetrange.com for additional information and to make an appointment.
I don’t live in PA, can I still buy a gun from you?
Yes! We can sell firearms to out of state residents. However, it is your responsibility to make sure the firearm you are purchasing from us is compliant in the state where you live. For complete details on FFL Transfers, go to our website.Â
